Trump is trying to make the history books ring with praise for his foresight and strength in facing the tiger. What he has done has put us in jeopardy, threatened the security of this country and poked an adversary that doesn't like us and hasn't for a long time. What he did last evening was probably the least Presidential thing he could have done. Dropping bombs is so much easier than having to negotiate for days/weeks to get a peace accord and guarantees. The other issue is that Israel poked Iran, so why did the US bomb them? I support Israel but this "disagreement" is on Netanyahu who began the bombing and not us.
Iran will retaliate. We will have to wonder how, where, and when. This administration can pound their chests and brag but we will soon find out that they are suffering from an extreme case of dumd fuckitis. Hope our troops don't pay the price for their hubris
Trump violated the War Powers Act and the UN Charter by attacking Iran, which was responding to a deadly, unprovoked attack by Israel that violated international law and the UN charter. Violating the War Powers Act is an impeachable offense, as AOC has said, and if Congress did its duty, Trump would be impeached. The majority of American do NOT support a war with Iran.
Extremely well said. Although I can't say I'm unhappy about the seeming destruction of Iran's nuclear capabilities. I do worry that we could once again get drawn into a protracted war in the region that will put our troops and our citizens at risk. A dilemma for sure.
Today, Trump was photographed with tourists wearing his MAGA hat, and pants belted and hitched up high. Thumbs up, of course. One day after illegally bombing Iran. My thoughts saw the caption of the Mad Magazine “What? Me worry? “

I keep hoping fewer Americans will die in the second Trump administration than the first. Sigh.

Keep an eye on Russia. Putin is not happy with what was done last night or early morning.
