Trump Drags America Into A War Obama Already Prevented
This war didn’t have to happen, but Trump couldn’t stand Obama winning
So get this: Donald Trump attacked Iran on the premise that they were developing nuclear weapons — and that he needed to strike their nuclear sites in order to contain them.
Yet back in 2018, Trump withdrew from the Iran Nuclear Deal which had blocked Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
And do you know why he pulled out?
Because guess who signed it: Barack Obama.
That’s right
Back in 2015, then-President Obama struck the Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA) which imposed strict limits and inspections on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for lifting economic sanctions.
And the deal was working — as is proven by this chart of Iran’s nuclear activity from the Financial Times.
However
Because Trump couldn’t stand the idea of his arch-nemesis Obama striking a successful deal, he withdrew from the agreement — despite facing global opposition and despite there being no evidence Iran had violated it.
And now, in 2025
Trump is dragging us into war to contain a nuclear program that Obama already neutralized ten years ago through diplomacy.
In conclusion
Obama was the real Art of the Deal. And Trump is a criminal warmonger who, once again, has violated the Constitution.
What else is new. Happy Sunday, guys!
Trump is trying to make the history books ring with praise for his foresight and strength in facing the tiger. What he has done has put us in jeopardy, threatened the security of this country and poked an adversary that doesn't like us and hasn't for a long time. What he did last evening was probably the least Presidential thing he could have done. Dropping bombs is so much easier than having to negotiate for days/weeks to get a peace accord and guarantees. The other issue is that Israel poked Iran, so why did the US bomb them? I support Israel but this "disagreement" is on Netanyahu who began the bombing and not us.
I keep hoping fewer Americans will die in the second Trump administration than the first. Sigh.
