I would absolutely force Mitch to show himself. If his staff are knowingly covering up his death, they and their co-conspirators need to be investigated and prosecuted immediately.

Seriously now the party of waste , fraud and abuse has a dead guy on taxpayers funds. A dead dude it's bad enough they get salary firever but when does forever end ? How many years can a dead Senator be on the books ?

If he's dead, we'd be able to find the death certificate. Death certificates are public records. A body can't be taken to a funeral home until a death certificate is filed.

If they are keeping him alive on a respirator then there is no death certificate yet. Calling an election to replace him would force the truth. Beshear needs to "manup".

Being kept alive on life support and ventilators with wife health care proxy out of the country.....legally alive, but he's been brain dead for years...

You’ll probably find out after August 3rd, if the man is dead.

Those 2 photos are AI and/or PhotoShopped. But if they are real, and Mitch is as healthy as he looks in them, and if he can talk for 20 mins on the phone with 3-4 people, then he can at least record a brief video giving proof of life. Still, your suggestion is a good one, Dash. It's what any Republican governor would do. He should just appoint someone. What's the worst that could happen? Republicans taking him to court? Good, then they'd have to produce real proof of life.

This made me laugh. And yes, agreed! Honestly most of the Republicans in the senate are zombies - they don't die, they just continue to eat and destroy.

Personally I don't think Mitch is actually dead. These days that would be way too hard to cover up, even for Republicans. I mean, we learned about Lindsey Graham's death immediately. My guess is he could be in a vegetative state at this point, for whatever that's worth. I know all about HIPAA, I worked in the federal benefit system for 20 years, but once you die, HIPAA no longer applies. So I do think Mitch is still with us, in some form or other.

Probably brain dead and on a respirator. A Brain Dead Senator cannot serve, even though the other Repukes are not physically brain dead, only emotionally. They must really like the taste of DumbDonnies butt. ICK!!!!

It appears that living in Kentucky will shrivel everything about a man! Well said, Dash.

Democrats are extremely slow learners and let MAGAts walk all over them. We are in a very bad place because of their complicity!

I agree, just do it!!! Call an election to replace him and the truth will come out.

Based on history, the outcome of a special election would favor GOP. We all know the GOP can dig up a candidate even worse than McConnell and that person will win in KY. Other than Bashear appointing a dem and tying up resources to fight it out in court (the state legislature took away Bashear’s ability to appoint in 2024), a GOP will fill the seat.

The empty senate seat seems to favor Dems.
