In November of 2018, Ted Cruz narrowly defeated Beto O’Rourke — a virtually unknown democratic candidate who lacked corporate funding — in the deep red state of Texas.

However, after being blindsided by sudden developments out of Waco, the two-term Senator may be headed for a potential re-election disaster in 2024.
