Democrats have confirmed they will not object to the election results on January 6th and say they have “no plans” to “stand in the way” of Trump’s victory.

Harris aides stated that she intends to “carry out her duties” as Vice President because it is “right” and also because “it’s the law.”

In short: Democrats are going to ensure a smooth transition of power, which is precisely what Trump and Republicans denied her and Biden.

On the one hand, I’m a fan of this

They’re leading by example.

Instead of blocking Trump’s certification — as Republicans did to Biden — they’re seeking to reverse the damage of Trump’s January 6th by restoring America’s long-held Democratic traditions.

On the other hand, this move could have unintended consequences for the party

Although Democrats are doing what’s right for democracy, their decision to certify Trump’s win without objections might backfire politically:
