Tim Walz’ kick-off rally in Philadelphia was one for the books.

Not only did he deliver the whole speech off the cuff (without a teleprompter), but he was able to articulate a clear-cut message of what this race is actually about.

And he did it in a Walzian way.

Abortion

He slammed Trump and Vance for being against freedom, and brilliantly said “the only freedom they want is the ‘freedom’ to invade your Doctor’s office.”

Then, he told them to “mind your own damn business.”

Damn right.

Walz also went after Trump on crime

He reminded the country that violent crime was higher under Donald Trump’s administration, and then took it a step farther by adding “and that’s not including the crimes he himself committed.”

Excellent

He’s able to debunk the GOP’s ‘tough on crime’ narrative while also reiterating that their nominee is a dangerous convicted felon in the same sentence.

That’s how you win an election

Walz has a unique skill-set of communicating important issues (crime and abortion) to moderates, independents, and young people in a clear way that is easy to understand (and is also hilarious, at times).

Trump can’t compete against this

And he knows it.

In fact, after watching Walz win over the hearts of voters across the nation, Trump descended into a literal state of panic:
