Under Trump, 17 million people are getting kicked off their healthcare, food stamps are being taken away from low-income households, and 27 kids — along with 62 others and counting — died in a flash flood at a children’s summer camp in Texas.
Other than that, July is off to a great start.
Trump signs ‘big deadly bill’ into law
The true effects of Trump’s bill won’t be felt until after the 2026 midterms, so I’m not convinced its passage will negatively impact Republicans as much as left-leaning pundits are claiming it will.
And although Musk and Trump are feuding again — with Musk now threatening to form a third party and unfollowing Mike Johnson on X — I predict these two will eventually make up like they always do… and bond over Nazism and billionaire tax breaks.
Plus
AG Pam Bondi announced this morning that there is “no” Jeffrey Epstein client list, despite claiming earlier this year that the Epstein client list was sitting on her desk “waiting for review.”
This is the surest sign yet that Trump was *allegedly* a client — hence why his DOJ will not be releasing the client list that existed three months ago but now conveniently no longer exists. (Another Trump campaign promise broken!)
The good news is
Trump just announced new 25% blanket tariffs against Japan and South Korea, which will drive up prices here in the States! (Just kidding, this is not good news).
When prices eventually go up, Trump and Fox will blame Joe Biden.
Then, as Trump always does, he will chicken out of his tariffs — but not before notifying his inner circle so they can buy the stock market dip ahead of another “90-day pause.”
The takeaway
It feels like we’ve reached rock bottom as a country, and the news cycle has been nothing but dread and doom — but at least that means it’s all uphill from here… right?
Right?!
P.S.
I’m looking forward to more ‘No Kings’ protests. There’s nothing like the morale boost of marching alongside people who hate Trump as much as you do.
Most importantly
Hope you all had a nice, relaxing, patriotic 4th of July weekend with family and friends.
And I hope your dogs’ ears survived the fireworks.
Stay in the mix. Happy Monday, guys!
I hate to say this but I don't think we have hit rock bottom. Gut feeling but he has an entire country to ruin and harm a lot of folks. Troubling part is it doesn't seem to bother him. That we should be concerned about.
Do you think the Republicans who will suffer the most will ever figure out they are the ones that will lose the most? I just can’t seem to wrap my mind around people voting against their own self interest. Has our education system become that bad? Or am I so dumb that I can’t see what they see? I took government classes in high school and college. Am l an elite because of that? I’m certainly not a billionaire!
