Trump voters in Mississippi are now saying they’ve been abandoned by Donald Trump, who has reportedly refused to send federal workers to their state — despite a tornado hitting Mississippi over two months ago.

Here’s what a Trump supporter in Tylertown, Mississippi told PBS when asked about the federal response to the tornadoes: “I know President Trump said ‘America-First’ and ‘we're going to help Americans first’, but we haven't seen the federal folks down here.”

That is a MAGA voter in Mississippi finding out in real-time that Trump’s ‘America First’ slogan was just rhetoric he used on the campaign trail to trick people into voting for him.

And sadly, it worked

Now, with Trump as president, he’s not sending any federal “folks” into Mississippi (at least according to this individual who lives in the tornado-hit city).

Instead, Trump’s playing golf on the weekends — rounds that are being funded by that guy’s tax dollars.

This comes after Trump denied North Carolina’s request for additional FEMA funding to help them rebuild and clean up debris after Hurricane Helene.

The takeaway

May this be yet another lesson to the Americans who voted for Donald Trump: this man does not care about you. At all.

All he cares about is playing golf, accepting luxury jumbo jets as bribes from foreign monarchies, hosting dinners for the top foreign investors in his crypto-coin, and handing out tax cuts to himself and the billionaire donors who funded his campaign.

There you have it

While Trump abandons his supporters who’ve been struck by hurricanes and tornadoes, Republicans are still coming after Medicaid, gutting food stamps, and giving tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans.

That doesn’t sound like a winning message to me.
