Donald Trump isn’t just embarrassing himself anymore — he’s embarrassing America.
Trump threatens annexation of Canada (again)
Last night, Trump belittled Canada as a ‘state’ and called PM Justin Trudeau a “Governor” in a post that can only be construed as a threat against Trudeau and Canada.
“It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada.”
Not sure what he’s trying to get out of Trudeau, beyond virtue-signaling ‘toughness’ to his base.
Here’s the deal
If Trump imposes tariffs, there’s little Trudeau can do to stop him, aside from imposing retaliatory tariffs on American goods. But Trudeau would never because he knows that world hurt Canada’s economy and shrink its GDP…something Trump has failed to wrap his head around here in the US.
Whatever Trump’s underlying motive for this post is, it’s shameful
What the rest of the world sees is a convicted felon mocking our NATO allies — while bragging about his plan to raise costs for Americans and contribute to the inflation he campaigned on fixing.
In short: they see a clown who will soon be returning to the Oval Office.
