What happens when Trump is defeated? The chamber will crack. We'll need to support those who are not too far gone to reenter civil society. The more we demean them now, the harder that will be.
And the more distain we heap on Trump now, the more disenfranchised they will feel. This is because he has positioned himself as their Savior. This means that there is not a lot of daylight between him and them.
Kamala knows. Her policies and her restraint in demeaning him demonstrate her wisdom.
For me, the hope is that she, our new VP, and President Biden will be able to lead us safely through the time to come.
