Trump Fumbles NBC Interview, His Latest Admission Raises Alarm Bells
As Donald lays out his chaotic plan during NBC's interview, his recent policy blunder could be the most consequential for America yet
Donald Trump sat down for his first media interview since November, and proved that his presidency will be just as reckless as his campaign — with attacks on the Constitution, incoherent policies, and shameless lies.
First, he vows to get rid of birthright citizenship
According to the 14th Amendment, if a child is born in America, that child is automatically an American citizen — even if the child’s parents are immigrants.
However
Yesterday on NBC’s Meet the Press, Trump said he wants to repeal the 14th Amendment via executive action or through changing the Constitution in order to end birthright citizenship, saying: “We have to end it. It's ridiculous.”
No, what’s ridiculous is threatening to abolish a sacred Amendment.
(He needs a two-thirds vote in both chambers of Congress to remove an Amendment, so this will never happen — but still, a wild statement for a President-elect to make.)
I guess when Trump said he’d like to terminate the Constitution, he meant it!
Then, he confessed to having no healthcare plan
Doubling down on his absence of a healthcare plan, Trump told Kristen Welker he has “concepts” of a healthcare plan — which, evidently, have not materialized into an actual plan since the debate (or the past eight years).
He did say he’s open to repealing the Affordable Care Act… which I guess you could call a plan — if that plan is to remove healthcare from millions of Americans.
Speaking of plans
The convicted felon also plans to issue sweeping pardons to January 6th prisoners on “day one” of his presidency. This would essentially allow him to release hundreds of domestic terrorists back into society — the same people who attempted to overthrow the government on his behalf.
So much for being “tough on crime.”
And if all that wasn’t bad enough, Donald Trump’s recent admission should raise alarm bells
Not only did Trump admit he has no healthcare plan while threatening to end birthright citizenship and pardon violent criminals, but his latest policy blunder might be the most consequential for America yet:
