Trump Fails To Distract Americans From His Inflation Bomb During Speech To Congress
Donald lies his way through another speech Democrats should have walked out on
Though Trump seemingly forgot to unveil his healthcare plan or a way to lower prices at the pump, he did manage to express his imperialist desire to conquer Greenland — but was met with fierce rejection.
Trump vows to take over Greenland
Following the economic crash caused by his tariffs, Trump decided to address the kitchen-table issue on everyone’s mind: annexing Greenland.
Here’s what he said: “We need it really for international world security. And I think we’re going to get it. One way or the other, we’re going to get it.”
We already have international security, thanks to NATO — the post-war alliance that shadow-president Musk has urged the U.S. to withdraw from.
Anyhow
This morning, Greenland’s PM Múte Egede shut down Trump’s bid — again — saying: “We don’t want to be Americans… The Americans and their leader must understand that. We are not for sale and cannot simply be taken. Our future will be decided by us in Greenland.”
Kudos to the PM for holding the line.
At this point, it’s clear
Trump’s only goal is to destroy diplomacy with our allies, cut taxes for the ultra-wealthy, slash Medicaid benefits for seniors, and wreck the stock market with monthly tariff threats so his billionaire vultures can “buy the dip.”
The one moment of honesty
Towards the end of his rant, he boasted that he’s taken “swift and unrelenting action” — which is true if you consider trade wars, mass firings, and bringing America toward the brink of recession — all accomplished in under two months.
The takeaway
Last night’s speech was just another version of what we see every day on Truth Social.
Attacks on DEI, blaming Biden for his own economic failures, bragging about fake accomplishments, and grand promises to “Make America Great Again” — all set against the backdrop of a historic stock market crash he incited.
But this was the moment that stood out the most:
