Trump Escapes Justice In Georgia, GOP Moves To Shut Down Govt
As Donald walks free from RICO charges, Republicans threaten to shut down the government to appease Elon Musk
Donald Trump has managed to escape justice yet again, with a Georgia court shamefully removing the prosecutor who dared to hold him accountable for his illegal attempts to overturn the election.
Fani Willis kicked off Georgia case
This morning, a new ruling came out of the Georgia Court of Appeals, which voted to remove Fulton County’s DA, Fani Willis — and her office — from the 2020 election interference case against Trump.
The panel of GOP judges voted 2-1 to disqualify Willis, citing her ‘romantic relationship’ with special prosecutor Nathan Wade — a private matter that had absolutely nothing to do with Trump’s crimes.
Alas, the decision is final
This travesty of a ruling marks what is seemingly the final court to cave to Trump, letting him walk free for trying to overturn the state’s election and for engaging in a criminal conspiracy.
Although the court did not dismiss the indictment, removing Willis and her office effectively torpedoes the case, as it will now be handled by a different prosecutor and legal team — potentially sympathetic to Trump — and could result in endless delays, appeals, and sets the stage for a mistrial.
In short
Donald Trump has been charged with 91 felonies, and will most likely not face a single day in prison for any of them.
Turns out, the phrase ‘nobody is above the rule of law’ is pure fiction.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk calls for government shutdown
Before Congress’s final spending bill was set to pass, Musk went on a X-rampage, calling for the government to be “shut down” and “defunded” until Trump gets sworn in.
Random X user: “Just close down the govt until January 20th. Defund everything. We will be fine for 33 days.”
Musk: “YES”
Maybe Musk — the richest man in the world — will be ‘fine’, but everyday Americans won’t be.
