Trump Confronts Glaring New Crisis Of His Own Making
Donald’s economy starts to collapse due to his policies, while he and the GOP face their biggest political roadblock yet
Donald Trump is having one of the worst weeks, politically speaking, of his entire presidency — and he’s ending it in total disaster.
For starters
Trump announced he’s building a $200 million ballroom inside the White House — which he claims will be funded by “private donors.”
But let’s be real
They’ll find a way to make sure we, the taxpayers, foot the bill — just like we did for his Scotland golf trip.
All while he slashes Medicaid and cuts social programs to “balance the budget” — a.k.a. give himself and his billionaire donors tax breaks.
Plus
This morning’s jobs report was brutal.
Far fewer jobs were added than predicted in July, and unemployment also came in higher than expected.
Even in Las Vegas, tipped workers say their income has “fallen by half” due to a steep drop in tourism.
What we’re seeing
This is the delayed but inevitable reaction to Trump’s tariffs (and his anti-foreigner, anti-immigrant policies).
Less tourism. Fewer jobs. Lower wages. And higher unemployment.
And just to make it worse
Trump reinstated another round of “Liberation Day” tariffs this morning — which instantly tanked the stock market.
P.S. Don’t look at your portfolios today, unless you want to cry!
Meanwhile, Trump and MAGA are staring down a political nightmare
Not only is Trump facing the fallout of his own failed economic policies, but he’s now confronting an even bigger crisis — one that could sink the GOP’s chances in 2026:
