We're only three months in, and Donald Trump is already committing human rights violations.

Maryland Father with legal protected status deported to brutal El Salvador prison

The Trump administration just mistakenly deported a father from Maryland to El Salvador's infamous mega-prison — the one known for torturing its inmates.

According to a new court filing, Trump’s lawyers confess that “although ICE was aware of his protection from removal to El Salvador, Abrego Garcia [the father from Maryland] was removed to El Salvador because of an administrative error.”

The report then goes on to state that the U.S. courts have “no ability to bring him back now that Garcia is in Salvadoran custody.”

In other words

The Trump administration mistakenly deported a Maryland father with protected status thanks to a clerical error! But now the courts lack the jurisdiction to bring him back into the States, which means he’ll remain trapped in one of the most dangerous prisons in the world.

Real talk

This is as dystopian as it gets. I know I say that a lot — but it really does feel like things are getting progressively more “Hitlerian” in this country.

And it gets worse

Not only did Trump’s ICE agents get caught deporting an innocent father to a violent torture prison, but what JD Vance did next was even more shameless:
