Kamala Harris wasted no time capitalizing off of Trump’s disastrous appearance at the NABJ conference.

Not only did her team release a fiery press statement immediately following his insanely racist remarks, but she also held an emergency rally in Houston to put him on blast for the interview.

Harris gets right down to business

Addressing a packed crowd in Texas, Harris put Donald’s feet to the flames: “This afternoon, Donald Trump spoke at the annual meeting of the National Association of Black Journalists and it was the same old show…The divisiveness and the disrespect.”

Then she continued…

“The American people deserve a leader who does not respond with hostility and anger when confronted with the facts. We deserve a leader who understands that our differences do not divide us. They are an essential source of our strength.”

Great messaging

Harris paints the perfect contrast between her campaign (one of unity) and Trump’s campaign (one of racism, lies, and division).

The fact that she’s able to put out a rapid response and do a speech all within hours of Trump’s self-destructing interview is impressive.

It’s effective, too

Harris has the flare, energy, and capability to damage Trump’s campaign in a way we’ve all been hoping Democrats would: by taking the fight directly to him.

However

It appears Trump is now doing even more damage to his own campaign than she — or the Democrats — ever could have:
