Republicans Go Down In Flames Ahead of Jan. 6 Criminal Referrals

Let’s face it. Republicans will claim “witch hunt” regardless of what the January 6th Panel decides to do with Donnie. And if the investigation is going to be called a witch hunt, they might as well hunt the witch.

For this reason alone, the Committee has no choice other than to issue a criminal referral for DJT on all three charges (Insurrection, Conspiracy to defraud the federal government, and Obstruction of an official proceeding).

And it seems promising they will.

This morning on CNN, Adam Schiff said: “There’s evidence Donald Trump committed criminal offenses in his effort to overturn the 2020 election. He tried to interfere with a joint session. Pressed officials to find votes that didn’t exist. And set a bloodthirsty mob on the Capitol. If that’s not criminal, nothing is.”

Not exactly the words you’d want to hear if you were Donald Trump. However, until the votes are cast — and until the Justice Department issues an indictment — I’ll hold my breath.
