Once upon a time, Elon Musk declared “I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means.” As it turns out, this was just another bloviation.
The purges of Elon Musk have begun. Yesterday, Musk banned a slew of prominent left-leaning journalists: CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, New York Times’ Ryan Mac, The Washington Post’s Drew Harwell, and MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann. The day prior, Musk banned an account called ElonJet — which merely posted the location of Musk’s private jet. Musk also threatened to sue the individual who ran the account — despite the account’s owner being a college kid.
Musk-critics are no longer protected by Musk’s “free speech.” Instead, Musk is modeling his business off of the Saudi Regime — the regime that censors journalists who criticize MBS. The regime who Musk is required to report profitable quarterly earnings to.
In addition to Musk’s purges, something more nefarious — and potentially illegal — is being done by Twitter’s ghoulish CEO.
