Mike Johnson Gets Ghosted By Elon Musk In Late Night Phone Call

The Speaker got sent straight to voicemail

Mike Johnson just got ghosted by Elon Musk when he tried to call him to get him to publicly support their spending bill.

During a press conference this morning, Johnson admitted he tried phoning Elon last night — but said he “didn’t answer.”

Now, I don’t know why the Speaker of the House revealed on live TV that he’s getting his calls ducked. That’s not a good look!

More importantly

The fact that Johnson’s making late calls shows that the “Big Beautiful Bill” is in trouble without public support from Musk.

Not to mention the GOP’s fear that Musk will use his billions of dollars to try to primary them in the midterms, should they go ahead and vote for this bill that Musk called a “disgusting abomination.”

Make no mistake

Just because Musk spoke out against this bill doesn’t make him one of the good guys.

He’s not upset that the bill cuts Medicaid or gets rid of food stamps. He’s upset that the bill doesn’t benefit his private companies — like Tesla and SpaceX — as much as he wants it to.

And Musk certainly doesn’t care about reducing the national deficit like he claims to, because he’s smart enough to know that tax cuts to billionaires like himself — and to corporations like Tesla — are the primary reason our deficit has exploded in recent years.

Nevertheless

Let’s hope this feud between Musk and MAGA continues. Because the longer it does, the harder it will be to pass that crazy bill.
