Jimmy Kimmel canceled Monday night’s taping with Jake Tapper to avoid promoting his new hit piece book on Joe Biden.

Last night…

Kimmel was scheduled to host Seth Rogen (for his new show) and Jake Tapper, who planned to shill copies of his book attacking Biden and his family.

But in light of Biden’s cancer diagnosis, Kimmel scrapped the episode and aired a rerun instead.

A commendable move by Kimmel

Not only is he respecting Biden and his family by pulling the episode (and turning down Seth Rogen) — he also denied Tapper the chance to hawk his book in front of millions the night before its release.

Kudos to Kimmel for this.

And take that, Jake Tapper.
