Jake Tapper Exposed For Pushing Anti-Biden Narrative For Profit

CNN and Axios took what used to be a sacred profession and corrupted it for greed and green

I find it remarkable that in the midst of Donald Trump receiving luxury jets from foreign monarchies, grifting billions from his crypto scam, and proposing $700 billion worth of cuts to Medicaid in order to fund tax breaks for the mega-rich — CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson have spent nearly all of their time in 2025 “reporting” on Joe Biden’s physical health as a means to sell advance copies of their new book, which is nothing more than a hit piece on Biden and his family.

Let’s be real

CNN and Axios are considered “left-leaning” and overall trusted news outlets. But when you peel away the labels, these two companies are paying their reporters to promote a book that fuels a narrative about a former president — one that has no material impact or significance for anyone in the country.

Imagine if these two journalists and their respective outlets put that same effort into an investigation into Donald Trump’s stock market manipulation — or a detailed explainer on what tariffs are.

How about a book on the Trump family’s crypto scheme, or the overseas businesses his family continues to operate while he runs the country?

Of all the things in the world to report on, CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson have dedicated their professional time and expertise to an all-out takedown of Joe Biden and his family.

It’s absurd

Say what you want about Biden’s age, but he was a good President who got us out of COVID, passed historic bills, created a stock market boom, and did the job he was supposed to do.

Instead of investigating Biden’s cognitive state post-election, these two could have asked a better question: Why did the American people disregard all of Biden’s accomplishments and instead fall for the lies of an unqualified convicted felon?

The answer to that question is the more poignant one

And the answer would stare Tapper and Thompson right in the face, as it was the mainstream media outlets like CNN and Axios who helped perpetrate the anti-Biden sentiment during the 2024 election cycle — basically forcing him to drop out after one debate, 100 days out from voting day.

Not sure if Biden stepping down was a mistake or the right play, but I do know media outlets put their fingers on the scale in ‘24 to tear down Biden’s legacy — and therefore Harris’s — giving Republicans fodder to distract from Trump’s authoritarian agenda, which we’ve now been subjected to.

Here’s the deal

MAGA loves anti-Biden content as it distracts from Trump’s various grifts/crimes and distracts from the GOP’s incoming cuts to Medicaid and billionaire tax breaks.

And thanks to Tapper and Thompson, Republicans now have a fresh new supply.

In closing

Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson have not only failed their journalistic duty — along with CNN and Axios who have them on payroll — but their book tour has exposed the mainstream media as nothing more than a for-profit industry that goes where the money is, not where the stories are.

The best way to hit back at these two is by starving CNN of ratings, and to never click on Axios stories — as they derive revenue from ads they place in their articles.
