Harris Triumphs On Fox, Trump Campaign Reaches Breaking Point
Kamala Harris emerges victorious after entering to the lion's den on Fox News, while Donald's candidacy takes yet another hit after a series of detrimental blunders
Last night, Kamala Harris did something Trump could never do.
She sat down for an interview on a hostile, right-wing network that was objectively rooting against her and remained calm, cool, and collected — demonstrating, even to their audience, that she’s the only candidate in the race who’s qualified for the job.
First, Harris calls out Trump’s hollow political platform
To kick off the tense Fox News interview, Harris pointed out that Trump has no aims of improving the lives of everyday voters, saying: “He actually has no plan in this election that is about focusing on the needs of the American people."
Once again, reminding Fox viewers that Trump lacks a healthcare plan and does not offer an economic agenda that is beneficial to them. She then went on to slam Trump for his proposed tax cuts, which she noted would “only go to billionaires” and “blow up our deficit.”
Great messaging to conservatives who care deeply about reducing the national debt.
Then, Baier started losing control
After realizing he couldn’t steer the interview in the direction he wanted, a confident Harris continued to sound off on Trump, uninterrupted, saying: “He's unfit to serve. He's unstable. He's dangerous. And people are exhausted…it’s time to turn the page.”
Moments later, Baier asked: “What are you turning the page from?”
To which Harris responded with: “Turning the page from the last decade in which we've been burdened by the kind of rhetoric from Donald Trump designed to divide our country.”
She landed one successful attack after another — a job well done.
Finally
Harris flipped the script on Baier when he tried to goad her into insulting Trump supporters.
After reading her a poll that shows them neck-and-neck, Baier asked Harris “Those 50% of Americans [who support Trump]…Are they stupid?”
Instead of falling into Baier’s trap, Harris praised the American people and reminded the audience that Trump is the one who degrades and threatens them daily, saying: ”I would never say that about the American people. And in fact, if you listen to Donald Trump, he's the one who tends to demean, belittle, and diminish the American people. He's the one who talks about an enemy within…suggesting he would turn the American military on the American people!”
A masterful answer to what was an incendiary ‘gotcha’ question.
In my view
Madam VP used her time on Fox to show her toughness, and remind their audience just how unfit to serve Trump is by highlighting his non-existent plan, his disastrous economic agenda, and his vile anti-American rhetoric.
In short
It was an interview that could sway independents, undecideds, and disillusioned Republicans to Team Harris ahead of November.
A bad night for Donald Trump, who’s now facing a whole new set of voter problems
Not only did Trump get put on blast during a primetime interview on Fox News, but the last 24 hours may have pushed his already flailing campaign over the edge:
