Kamala Harris is closing out the race on a high note, gaining ground in red states and drawing massive crowds — proving momentum is on her side with 6 days before the election.

Harris cuts into Trump’s lead in Kansas

In what could be the most promising sign yet for Harris, a new poll has her now within “striking distance” of Trump in Kansas, cutting his lead down to a mere 5-points.

For context

Trump won Kansas by 20 points in 2016, and 15 points in 2020, so Harris has clearly taken a bite out of his GOP electorate in the home stretch.

P.S. Harris was just endorsed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in a lengthy post on X this morning, which may convince even more Republicans to back her.

In my view

The fact that Harris is polling so close to Trump in what’s considered a safe red state — I imagine she’s performing even better than the polls currently suggest in the 7 toss-up states.

Never underestimate the power of Roe v. Wade — a SCOTUS ruling that’s cost Republicans several key special elections along the way.

Meanwhile, Harris draws 75k at her closing remarks DC rally

Harris knocked it out-of-the-park with her closing remarks in Washington D.C. to an estimated crowd of 75,000 Americans.

Here's some of what she said during her speech, in which she contrasted her positive vision for America against Trump's bleak vision for America.

On freedom, healthcare and abortion rights

Harris talked about how she wants to expand affordable health care, while Trump intends to remove healthcare protections for those with pre-existing conditions.

She also vowed to restore women's reproductive rights after Trump had Roe overturned and highlighted Trump’s plan to ban abortion nationwide if re-elected.

Plus

She contrasted Trump's "enemies-list" with her own "to-do list", showing that her campaign is focused on serving the American people, while Trump’s is focused on persecuting them.

On the economy

Harris reiterated that her tax plan would lower taxes for over 100 million Americans, whereas Trump’s tax cuts would only apply to major corporations and billionaires — like himself.

She also discussed her plan to lower costs by supporting a federal price-gouging ban, and noted how Trump’s inflationary tariff proposals would skyrocket prices on everyday goods.

In short: It may have been the most powerful speech of Harris’ campaign, giving voters and viewers the clearest reason yet to show up at the polls for her.

P.S.

She held her rally where Trump delivered his infamous January 6th speech, which incited a mob of his supporters to storm the Capitol.

A savvy move from VP Harris.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump appears to be losing the game

As if slipping in Kansas, getting burned by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and being called out for his unfavorable policies at the same venue where he incited a coup weren’t bad enough, Trump’s latest campaign move is basically his team waving the white flag:
