Harris Gains Upper Hand, Trump Makes A Costly Mistake
Kamala Harris takes advantage of the latest Woodward bombshell as business leaders rally behind her, while Donald makes a fatal blunder on the campaign trail
With the race in its final stretch, Kamala Harris is effectively framing herself as the economic and national security candidate.
First, the business
Reid Hoffman, the founder of LinkedIn, released his first podcast on Business Leaders For Harris, with a caption that reads: “…Join me to break down why VP Harris is better than former President Trump for business, for jobs, and for the American economy.”
Having this group campaigning for Harris on the economy with less than a month until Election Day is a game-changer.
Second, the Woodward bombshell
In a bombshell scoop, Bob Woodward revealed in his new book, ‘War’, that Trump secretly sent COVID tests to Vladimir Putin in 2020…while there was a shortage of COVID tests here in America.
Translation: As several hundred thousand Americans died due to Trump’s negligence and deliberate mishandling of the Pandemic, Trump was busy shipping off medical kits to one of our greatest foreign adversaries.
And Madam VP wasted no time in going after him for it
Right as the news broke, Harris told Howard Stern's massive audience: “Trump gets played by dictators. They are manipulating him with flattery and favor. Remember, people were dying by the hundreds of thousands and couldn’t get testing kits. And Trump is sending tests to Russia to a murderous dictator for his personal use while he was telling Americans to put bleach in their blood.”
Bleach for Americans, COVID tests for Putin. Great messaging.
Plus
Harris also put an ad out on her main account last night, blasting Trump with a caption that reads: “Donald Trump has put Putin over the American people time and time again. Now, a new report says that he secretly sent Putin COVID tests while withholding them from sick Americans.”
Good to remind Americans how chaotic things were under Trump, who has desperately been trying to make Americans forget about his failed leadership during the 2020 pandemic.
And Tim Walz called him out for the second Woodward bombshell
During his battleground rally last night in Las Vegas, Walz tore into Trump over the other Woodward bombshell: that Trump reportedly had seven secret phone calls with Putin since leaving the Oval Office.
Translation: After violently refusing the peaceful transfer of power, Trump continued to have dialogue with Russia’s autocratic leader despite him no longer being President.
Here’s what Walz told the crowd in Nevada: “There’s reporting that Donald Trump has had as many as seven private phone calls with Vladimir Putin. I can guarantee you that Kamala Harris and I do not have dictators on speed dial.”
An A+ rapid response from both Harris and Walz.
The potential October surprise
This could very well be the most anti-American thing Trump’s ever done, and that’s saying a lot — considering he incited an insurrection against his own country, stole classified intelligence from his own Government, and tried to overturn the will of the people in several states through his false electors scheme.
More importantly
A revelation like this could alienate more Republicans, as his pro-Putin/anti-Ukraine stance has already pushed away prominent GOP figures like Liz Cheney, John Bolton, and several of Nikki Haley’s campaign chairs.
And it gets worse, as Trump made a costly mistake on the campaign trail
If you thought being caught secretly calling and shipping COVID tests off to a murderous Russian dictator was bad, Trump’s latest policy blunder might actually tank his candidacy:
