Yesterday, Democrats voted to certify Trump’s election without any objections, and Harris was tasked with certifying her own loss.
When NBC asked her how she felt, she responded by saying: “Democracy prevails.”
A class act from start to finish
Although I’m not sure if I’d call certifying the election of a felon who tried to overthrow the government, vowed to suspend the constitution, and threatened to do away with term limits “democracy prevailing” — but nevertheless, Democrats held up their end of the bargain and gave Trump what he denied Biden four years ago: a peaceful transfer of power.
Not that he deserved it!
A Jan 6 officer calls on Merrick Garland to release Jack Smith’s report
One of the DC cops who was violently assaulted by Trump supporters on January 6th wrote a letter urging AG Garland to release the final Jack Smith report to the public.
Here’s what Officer Hodges said in his plea: “While he [Trump] may have evaded justice, it is imperative that history know the extent of his crimes. Please: release Jack Smith's final report of his investigation to the public…This report is the closest I and many Americans will ever get to closure with regards to Trump and his role in the insurrection…If not for your own legacy, then for the benefit of Americans everywhere, and democracies around the world.”
