Harris Brings It, Trump's Latest Ploy Signals A Campaign Headed Toward Defeat
Kamala Harris locks in another GOP ally and rallies swing voters, while Donald's team pulls a desperate move that shows they know the race is slipping away
With five weeks left in the race, Kamala Harris is going all-out — running a high-speed campaign to secure victory this November.
Including a late-night battleground rally in Nevada
Harris doubled down on her commitment to reproductive freedoms and democracy, touted her and Biden’s economic achievements, and called out Trump for denying voters a second debate during last night’s rally in Las Vegas, saying: “I’m trying to debate Donald Trump again…As you say here in Vegas, I’m all in. Even if my opponent is ready to fold.”
An epic one-liner that reminds voters Trump isn’t just weak, but is actively hiding his agenda from the American people.
P.S.
Here is a photo from the packed-house rally, taken at 8pm on a Sunday night.
That is what enthusiasm looks like.
So is this: Arizona’s Former GOP Senator endorses Harris
Jeff Flake, the former Republican Senator from AZ, broke ties with the GOP and endorsed Harris in a huge announcement yesterday, writing: “I want to support a candidate who respects the will of the voters and would never attempt to use the powers of the Presidency to overturn an election after having been turned out by the voters.”
A direct jab at Trump for January 6th and for rejecting the peaceful transfer of power.
“Finally, I want to support a Presidential candidate who seeks to unite our country rather than one who divides us; one who represents the ideals of a new generation of leadership based not on grievances of the past, but hope for the future…”
Another example of how Trump’s divisive rhetoric and doomsday messaging deters lifelong Republican voters.
Lastly…
Flake called on other Conservatives to join him: “For all of these reasons, I’ll be supporting Kamala Harris for President…I would encourage all Republicans who feel this way to do the same…there is nothing more conservative than putting country over party.”
A big pick-up for Harris in a state Biden carried by 0.3%.
Trump’s swing rally, on the other hand, didn’t go very well
During yesterday’s rally in Eerie, Pennsylvania, Trump revealed he stiffed his workers and refused to pay them overtime when running his shady businesses.
Here’s a direct quote from Trump at his battleground rally: “I know a lot about overtime, I hated to give over time…I hated it. I shouldn’t say this, but I’d get other people in and I wouldn’t pay it.”
This sure sounds like a violation of labor laws.
Plus
It’s also one of the key initiatives of Project 2025 — which would allow employers to stop paying their employees overtime.
Can’t imagine this type of messaging sitting well with workers, unions, or swing voters in Pennsylvania (or any state, for that matter).
And it gets worse
Not only did Trump alienate working-class voters, link himself to Project 2025, and lose a prominent Arizona Republican, but his campaign’s latest ploy shows even they know the game is slipping away:
