AOC Blames Trump For Plane Crash, Trump Uses Tragedy To Distract From His Alarming New Agenda
As AOC exposes the real culprits behind the devastating airline crash, Trump is exploiting the collision to quietly pull off the biggest power-grab in modern history
A Democrat is finally placing the blame for the plane crash where it belongs — on the Commander-in-Chief.
AOC says Trump is responsible for airline collision
After listening to Trump recklessly blame the plane crash on DEI, disabled people, woke policies, and Joe Biden during his first briefing room conference of the year — Congresswoman AOC decided to set the record straight.
Here’s what she posted on her official government account: “Trump gutted the Aviation Safety committee last week. Air traffic controllers - already understaffed - got Trump’s ‘buyout’ this week with a 1 week ultimatum to decide. It’s not DEI - it’s him. And Elon too.”
I like that she included Elon because, as reported yesterday, he pressured the FAA director to resign and is likely responsible for the sweeping airline personnel cuts that Trump imposed as well.
Another point to make
It’s important to push back against the onslaught of disinformation boldly, like AOC did.
If you recall, here’s how Trump responded when a reporter asked him if the crash was caused by diversity hiring: “It could have been.”
A false statement like that should not be allowed to stand without widespread pushback from Democrats, so props to AOC for making it known who the real culprits are.
Because…
This morning on Fox, a MAGA congressman from Missouri blamed the crash on DEI without any evidence — and even admitted he had no evidence.
Here was that exchange:
Rep. Eric Burlison: “The FAA is riddled with DEI problems.”
Maria Bartiromo: “Do you have any evidence though that any of those hires were DEI hires?”
Rep. Eric Burlison: “Not until we get into the investigation”
This is what Republicans do — and have been doing — on an endless loop about literally everything. They knowingly lie until the lie becomes real.
Hence why it is crucial to put up a fierce opposition — on the same endless loop — to counter the lies and reclaim the narrative.
Speaking of the narrative, Trump is now blaming the US military
After blaming DEI, Trump went ahead and said his own US military was at fault for flying the helicopter “too high.”
Here’s what he posted this morning on Truth Social: “The Blackhawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far above the 200 foot limit. That’s not really too complicated to understand, is it???
So…it is…Pete Hegseth’s fault?
After all, DoD Secretary Hegseth oversees the US military branches — and it was a Military aircraft.
In my view
Trump’s whole goal is to bury the fact that he disbanded a key Aviation Safety Committee, cut the transportation budget by billions, and suspended several airline personnel during his first week in office.
Meanwhile, Trump is exploiting this tragedy to cover up something even more dangerous
Not only is Trump deflecting from his own role in gutting aviation safety, but he’s using the crash to distract from what might be the biggest power-grab in U.S. history:
